Dr. David Zientek, MD, FACC

Dr. David Zientek is originally from Amarillo, TX and has practiced cardiology in Austin since 1992.  He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.  He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.  In addition he completed an additional fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Zientek practices general and interventional cardiology and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Society for Coronary Angiography and Interventions.   He has an added interest in biomedical ethics having served as a visiting scholar at the Center for Clinical Ethics, Georgetown University, Washington, DC.  Dr. Zientek remains active on the adult medical surgical ethics committee at Seton Medical Center in Austin.
